How Can I Handle Life’s Hardships?

We all face difficult times in our lives. I call them the “T” words: trials, troubles, tests, temptations and tribulations. They are the “Terrible T’s”. They come in all shapes and sizes but they all lead us down the same path. That path leads us to this question: “Why me?”
We’ve looked at why the Terrible T’s happen to us but we have not yet learned what purpose they serve or how we should deal with them when they come. Let’s begin here:
All problems in our lives can be used to make us stronger. Yes, all of them. Even though you may feel like you are at the breaking point, even though you feel like you have reached your limit, even though you think you can’t take any more, God is there with you.
God knows. He knows you and He knows what you are going through. He understands that we live in a broken world and life is not always fair and just. Sometimes we hurt and we don’t know why. Sometimes we feel like we are alone and sometimes we just don’t get it. There are times when others soar while we seem to be sinking.
When I find myself in that kind of a place, I try to remember that there is a Bible that tells me about others who have struggled with the same issues. I have read about these people and it gives me comfort to know that I’m not alone.
I have learned that sometimes God steps in and makes things right, but other times, He doesn’t. Daniel soared while Jeremiah sank. Joshua prospered while Job suffered. David was vindicated yet Moses was reprimanded. All of them were godly men. He was with them all, y sing their humanness to make something good.
He makes us that promise, that He can take your trial and make something good out of it. This in found Romans:
Romans 8:28
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
