Psalms 1:1 “Blessed”

Psalms 1 tells us about the pathway to God’s blessing. The very first verse of the very first Psalm reads like this:

Psalms 1:1

“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers!”

Let’s start by deciding what it means to be blessed. Jesus, in The Sermon On The Mount, began His greatest sermon with the Beatitudes where the word blessed occurs over and over.
