Psalms 1:1 “Walking, Standing And Sitting”

Psalms 1:1 - “Walking, Standing, Sitting”
The very first verse in the book of Psalms sets out to tell us the importance of living a life that focuses on God. We need to be careful about the company that we keep.
How careful? When we pray? While we are at church? At work? While eating dinner with our families?
Well, yes. Those are important. But, that’s not enough. Our hearts are supposed to be focused on God in every activity and at all times. Where we are walking, while we are standing, when we are sitting.
Those words are words about life. They are three of the most common actions in the Bible, covering almost everything that we do, every place we go and every interaction that we have. They encompass all of life; where we go, what we do and who we are with. In other words, this verse is telling you and me that we should remember that we don’t ever leave the presence of God.
Psalms 139:7-10
“Where can I go from Your Spirit
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
